All cemeteries in the province are governed by the Ontario Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act (FBCSA) as well as government approved by-laws. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) administers the provisions of this act, and regulates and licenses operators of these services. The Perth Cemetery Company operates the Elmwood Cemetery site and its license number with the BAO is 3281729-1. The Perth Cemetery Company is also a registered charity number 127301901 RR0001.

The cemetery is required to file price lists, lot plans and bylaws with the BAO, and make price lists available to any potential purchasers of our services, The by-laws must be adhered to for the cemeteries proper operation, maintenance and administration as well as for the safe use of all interment rights holders, visitors and employees.
